Event Details

The classroom of 2036: AI and designing trusted digital assessments, 3rd July, 10:30am, 45 minutes, Venue 5

With debates raging over AI, screentime, social media bans and digital exams it can feel like the future of education has never been more uncertain. Against this backdrop, how do we build a future-proof education and assessment system where technology enhances learning without undermining it?  Experts from Cambridge have real-world experience of delivering high-stakes digital exams around the world, and have researched the threats of technology to assessment as we know it.  This panel will bring them together with leading experts on technology in education to clarify some of the noisiest debates in education to paint a picture of what assessment could look like in 10 years’ time, and what they really hope it won’t look like.

Confirmed OCR panellists:
Janet Walker, Head of Product: Digital Mocks and Exams;
James Beadle, Senior Professional Development Manager, Cambridge;
Confirmed external panellists:
John Guiney, Assistant Principal, Cambridge Regional College;
Beverley Clarke MBE, UK Government AI Advisory Contributor;
