What’s new in classroom.cloud?
The latest updates to classroom.cloud bring even more flexibility, security and efficiency to schools and teachers. From enhanced account protection with 2FA and a more streamlined Teacher Console experience, to faster lesson preparation and improved safeguarding context within Microsoft Teams, these new features are designed to make everyday teaching, safeguarding and classroom management even easier.
New features include:
- 2FA: Local classroom.cloud accounts can now benefit from enhanced security with two-factor authentication (2FA), adding an extra layer of protection at sign-in. Organisation Admins can enforce all local users to set up 2FA, while users can also enable it themselves from their profile settings.
- Customise the Teacher Console: Schools can now customise the Teacher Console by enabling or disabling selected teacher tools. This can help to remove features they don’t use as often and simplify the interface even further to improve teacher workflow.
- Saving resources: Teachers using Admin-created classes can now save and reuse surveys, as well as website and application lists, making it quicker and easier to deliver consistent lessons, launch approved resources and streamline classroom workflows.
- Safeguarding in Microsoft Teams: For safeguarding triggers captured in Microsoft Teams, a Message log is now available instead of a screenshot or video. The triggered message is highlighted within the conversation, making it easier for safeguarding staff to review the surrounding context and understand the full conversation around the triggered safeguarding keyword.
