Education leaders, teachers and innovators from across the world gathered in Bucharest for AIDUCATION ’26, an international conference focused on the responsible and effective use of artificial intelligence in schools.
Held on 14 March 2026 at the Cambridge School of Bucharest, the event featured a strong programme of keynote sessions and expert-led workshops designed to help schools move from AI experimentation to real-world implementation.
Among the keynote speakers was Professor Rose Luckin, Founder and CEO of Educate Ventures Research and Professor Emerita at UCL, as well as our very own Al Kingsley MBE, Group CEO of NetSupport, who joined fellow education and technology leaders to share practical insights into building confident and ethical AI strategies for schools.
The conference also welcomed a wide range of expert workshop speakers including Luke Harris, Chris Loveday, Daire Maria Ni Uanachain, Ben Whitaker, Amelia King, David Curran, Ioannis Anapliotis, Emma Darcy, James Garnett, Paddy McGrath, Danny McCamlie, Chris Blackwood, Sacha van Straten, Aaron Patching and Trudi Barrow. Sessions covered topics such as developing AI roadmaps, critical thinking in an AI era, safeguarding in a world of deepfakes, inclusive learning design and creative classroom applications.
Throughout the day, a central theme was the importance of practical implementation and measurable impact. Workshops, case studies and collaborative discussions demonstrated how schools are already using AI to enhance engagement, support personalised learning and strengthen digital strategy.
AIDUCATION ’26 ultimately reinforced a powerful message for the sector: AI in education is no longer a future concept – it is a present opportunity that requires thoughtful leadership, ethical decision-making and a clear focus on outcomes for students and teachers.
