Explore how NetSupport supports Ofsted’s 2025 inspection report cards
From 10th November, Ofsted will assess schools by using a school report card across a wider set of evaluation areas.
Each area is graded on a five-point scale: Urgent improvement, Needs attention, Expected standard, Strong standard, Exceptional. Safeguarding is considered alongside these and is simply graded as ‘met’ or ‘not met’.
Ofsted inspectors consider the following evaluation areas when they produce the report card:
- Safeguarding
- Inclusion
- Curriculum and teaching
- Achievement
- Attendance and behaviour
- Personal development and well-being
- Leadership and governance
- Early years, where applicable
- Post 16 provision, where applicable

The five-point grading system gives greater nuance than the previous single judgement, and with safeguarding being judged separately and a new inclusion grade, knowing how the tools you have in your school support all these areas will, we hope, be helpful to you.
How our Ofsted page works
Each section of the evidence page begins with key quotes from Ofsted’s inspection toolkit linked to each inspection area and then links those expectations to specific features in NetSupport’s products.

For example, when inspectors assess attendance and behaviour, they will look for calm, orderly routines.
