Founded by Schools OUT in 2004, February is known as LGBT+ History Month across the UK to recognise and honour LGBT+ people and their accomplishments.
With an estimated 1.4 million people aged 16 and over identifying as LGBT+ in the UK, this month is especially important to show our pride to help create a more inclusive society.
About LGBT+ History Month…
Celebrating each year with a new theme, this year’s theme is ‘Behind The Lens’ to recognise LGBT+ peoples’ contribution to cinema and film – from directors and producers to screen writers and costume designers and beyond.
