Did you know that 30% of children in the UK have reported experiencing bullying in the last year? Bullying can take many forms and with the increasing use of technology among children and young people, instances of bullying have been on the rise over recent years and can be constant as online bullying is ever-present.

Since 2002, the Anti-Bullying Alliance in the UK has officially deemed this week as Anti-Bullying Week to raise awareness and help put an end to bullying. This year’s theme is ‘Reach Out’ and it kicks off today with Odd Socks Day.

How can you get involved?

Preventing bullying and raising awareness on how to address bullying issues is something that everyone can get involved in. Take part by reaching out and checking in on others to reduce the stigma and help prevent bullying.

Show your support on social media by using the hashtags #AntiBullyingWeek and #ReachOut. Plus, check out the Anti-Bulling Alliance’s social media toolkit for helpful resources.
