This week marks National Work Life Week, Working Families’ annual campaign in the UK. With the goal of raising awareness of a healthy work-life balance, this year is especially important as it highlights flexible working and finding ways to make it possible.

With pressure from the pandemic and rising prices, it’s more important than ever to take control of your work-life balance to help reduce stress and do things that make you happy, which will also help boost your mental health and wellbeing.

Four tips to support a better work-life balance:
  • Get organised – Ensure your workspace is ready for work by having a dedicated space with any distractions removed.
  • Create lists – Having a plan of the day or week ahead helps boost focus and productivity.
  • Set boundaries – Establish clear boundaries to maximise your time and have a cut-off time to switch gears.
  • Take breaks – Take care of yourself and set times aside to refresh your mind with planned daily breaks, plus, ensure to take time off from work to help recharge.
