Are you up for the challenge to de-stress?
Every year since 1992, April has been known as Stress Awareness Month to raise awareness of the causes and cures of stress. During the last two years, we have all experienced increased stress and anxiety due to the ongoing pandemic, which may have resulted in feelings of loneliness and isolation. The theme this year is ‘community’ and aims to promote more positive support and interaction to combat issues of loneliness and isolation which can negatively impact mental health and wellbeing.
As we arise from the pandemic, it’s imperative to have community support now more than ever as we continue to adjust to a new way of living. Being a part of a community is all about being connected, having a sense of belonging to others and feeling supported and accepted. Socialising with others and volunteering are great ways to connect with your community while also boosting mental health and reducing stress.
Join in on the 30 Day Challenge this April by picking an action for your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing to do each day to create positive behavioural changes.
