This week (8th – 14th February) is National Apprenticeship Week, and, once again, it has been extended to continue throughout the weekend too – providing opportunities for more activities and spreading more awareness.

Even though it’s all happening virtually this year, the event will still be a great celebration of apprenticeships and an opportunity to highlight the exceptional apprentices and employers who have adapted and continued to deliver throughout a difficult year.

Here are some of the ways you can get involved online:

  • Share any content posted by the @Apprenticeships social media accounts and use the hashtags #NAW2021 and #BuildTheFuture in your posts.
  • Tuesday 9th February: #AskAnEmployer – Join in the conversation and help employers, potential apprentices, teachers and parents understand the real benefits of apprenticeships. Employers, take part in #AskAnEmployer from 12 noon until 2pm.
  • Wednesday 10th February: #AskAnApprentice – Apprentices and past apprentices, take part in #AskAnApprentice from 12 noon until 2pm.
  • Sunday 14th February: I (heart) Apprenticeships – On Valentine’s Day, there will be a focus on what makes apprenticeships and National Apprenticeship Week great. Get creative with a video, blog or social media post!

Since taking on the first apprentice in 2012, NetSupport has had a total of 12 apprentices across different departments, including IT Support and Product Testing, as well as Marketing and Customer Services. In addition, Managing Director Al Kingsley and Marketing Executive Chloe Bray are both part of the East of England Apprenticeship Ambassador Network – a group of employers and apprentices championing apprenticeships across the East of England.
