This week is Children’s Mental Health Week, originally launched in 2015 by Place2Be to call attention to the importance of mental health and wellbeing in children and young people. This is the seventh year and is based on the theme: “Express Yourself.” This year’s theme focuses on finding ways to share feelings, thoughts or ideas through creativity.
Place2Be stresses the importance of remembering that expressing yourself is not about doing the best, but more so about self-exploration and how children view the world, which can help create a positive self-image. To continue to promote positive mental health, Place2Be has free resources to discover different ways to “Express Yourself”.
Here at NetSupport we understand the importance of children’s mental health and wellbeing! That is why we’ve partnered with organisations like the Internet Watch Foundation to make our solutions as intuitive as possible, to identify any triggered keywords helping to increase children’s overall safety.
NetSupport’s edtech products support positive mental health in various ways. Classroom management solution, NetSupport School, and IT management solution, NetSupport DNA, provide a complete safeguarding toolkit and insight to gauge how students are feeling and any issues they may be dealing with.
NetSupport DNA also equips safeguarding staff with a Contextual Intelligence-based Risk Index to quickly review any concerning trends and identify at-risk students. NetSupport School gives teachers further details into how their students feel via its Student Feedback Mode to effectively support any student who may not feel comfortable speaking verbally.
