Perkbox’s recent Workplace wellbeing report looks at the year so far and how events have affected wellbeing in the workplace across the UK.

Before the pandemic, 60% of approximately 13,000 UK employees surveyed by Perkbox had never worked from home. When the government announced that people should work from home for the foreseeable future, this resulted in a huge, almost overnight shift. For a lot of people, the transfer to home working affected more than just their daily commute and who their new ‘at home’ colleagues were.

One of the main things affected by remote working was productivity. Based on Perkbox’s survey of approx. 350 employers, 39% of business leaders say the two biggest challenges with remote working are keeping employees productive and striking a healthy work/life balance.
