Education and future of work expert, Graham Brown-Martin, chats to Russell Prue on NetSupport Radio
Graham Brown-Martin is a leader in the field of foresight and anticipatory research that brings together social, political and technological trends to consider how we need to prepare ourselves for the future.
Education is a huge part of this and, to help raise awareness of the sweeping changes we need to be making in order to adapt, Graham will be taking to the Bett stage for a session called, “The future of work, society and learning – of preparing learners for tomorrow,” (along with some very special guests from the London Interdisciplinary School and School 21), to host an interactive session to discuss and share ideas about how to prepare for a future that we don’t yet have all the details about!
Explaining the place of education within these preparations, he told Russell, “Teaching is a fourth emergency service. It’s so important because it’s the enabler. We need to get away from the stupid conversations about skills versus knowledge; you need both – and it’s how you apply that, to solve problems.”
