After Installing XP Service Pack 2 from a CD only or Installing IP v6, you may receive a General Protection Fault (GPF) referencing CompExec. This will not occur if you have installed from a downloaded version of the Service Pack.

Solution

We have produced a fixed dll that can be downloaded from the bottom of this article.

To apply this fix you will need to add the dll that you downloaded from the bottom of this article, to the following folder on your each of your DNA Clients:

c:\program files\NetSupport DNA\DNA\Client\Components

Please Note: C:\Program Files\NetSupport DNA is the default location for Installing NetSupport DNA. If you have modified this location during the install, then you will need to place the new HardwareList.dll into the relevant folder for your installation.
