Details
In some cases, you might receive a message "Error loading transport TCP/IP (adapter 0), operation; 03H, code: 10042 (773aH)" when loading NetSupport Manager or School. This is normally due to the TCP/IP stacks in Windows being damaged or missing. Please take the following steps to check your TCP/IP settings in Windows.
1) Windows 95/98
- Right click on Network Neighborhood and choose Properties.
- Under "The following network components are installed" you should have an entry for TCP/IP-> followed by your network card. If not, continue to step 3.
- Click on the Add button, select Protocol, Microsoft, TCP/IP. Add this protocol and reboot the machine.
2) Windows ME/2000/XP
- Right click on My Network Places and choose Properties.
- Select your connection from the list, right click and choose Properties again.
- Under the "Components checked are used by this connection" you should have "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" listed and a check in the box next to it. If it is not listed, proceed to step 4.
- Choose Install, Protocol, TCP/IP and install the protocol. Reboot when finshed.
If TCP/IP is already listed in either case, uninstall it and then follow the OS specific steps above to re-install it.
