Role:                                UK Sales Account Manager
Location:                          Head Office, Towngate East, Market Deeping, PE6 8NE
Hours:                              Full time - 37 hours per week

Description of role:

NetSupport are an international leader within the Education and Corporate technology markets.  We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our existing UK sales team.  Predominantly office-based, the primary focus of this role will be identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities.  This will require a consultative sales approach, an ability to identify customer needs, match with our solutions and present the key features and benefits of our products to gain customer buy-in. 

The successful candidate will have proven experience on new business acquisition within a direct sales environment, preferably in the technology sector, solid commercial awareness, and excellent communication and listening skills.  The candidate will need to be organised, confident, self-motivated and target-driven.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and generating new business opportunities through research and contact
  • Building customer connections and promoting the brand
  • Responding to inbound sales enquiries and providing proposals/quotations
  • Developing a solid understanding of the company, its customers and range of products
  • Managing and building relationships with existing customers and identifying scope to increase sales
  • Ability to communicate effectively with prospects and customers, mainly over the phone, but also face to face
  • Ability to demonstrate an overview of all company products
  • Attending occasional trade shows/visiting customers

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Able to manage and prioritise daily and weekly workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A solid technical base with a good level of IT competence and an enthusiasm to develop their technical skills
  • Proficient in all MS Office applications and CRM software
  • Confident communicator, able to build a rapport and sustain relationships in a B2B environment
  • Demonstrate and evidence ability to win new clients
  • Team player, confident but aware of team demands
  • Be target driven to achieve sales targets within the territory
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
  • Proven track record of 2-3 years minimum direct sales (preferably within the IT/Technical sector)

The successful candidate will need some previous experience in acquiring new business within a direct sales environment, (ideally within the technology sector) and strong verbal and written communication skills.  The candidate will need to be organised, confident, self-motivated and target-driven.
